1. Who we are

Jifaidi™️ ("we", "us") is a trust-backed cash platform that lets members of partner SACCOs and chamas access short-term cash against their savings and trust score. By creating an account you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, a resident of Kenya, and a member of a partner institution to use Jifaidi™️. You agree to complete identity verification (KYC) before requesting cash.

3. How Jifaidi™️ works — product positioning

Jifaidi™️ is a complementary SACCO cash product — short-term, small-ticket, savings-backed and capped.

4. Access fee

A single access fee is charged once at disbursement, based on the rate set by your partner institution and the term you choose. The fee is disclosed upfront before you confirm, is not interest, does not compound, is not penalty interest, is not hidden, and is never increased after disbursement. No penalty fees apply during repayment or the grace period.

5. Repayment frequency

JiFaidi™️ repayment frequency is limited to daily or weekly. Monthly repayments are not standard and may only be enabled with explicit partner approval in the partnership agreement. This keeps JiFaidi™️ a short-term cash product, not a conventional loan.

7. Repayment channels — your choice

You are free to repay through any mobile-money service provider or bank channel that Jifaidi™️ supports. We treat every channel equally — Jifaidi™️ does not charge a different fee depending on the channel you use. Supported channels include M-Pesa, Airtel Money, T-Kash, Equitel, PesaLink, direct bank transfer and branch/cash payment. The channels shown to you in the app are the ones currently enabled in your region. Standard transaction charges set by your provider (e.g. Safaricom, Airtel) may apply separately and are not collected by Jifaidi™️.

8. AML and fraud controls

We are required by law to monitor transactions for money-laundering and fraud. We may pause or reject any request, withhold a disbursement, or share information with authorities where required.

9. Fees

The only Jifaidi™️ charge is the access fee set by your partner institution on the amount accessed, calculated against your chosen term and shown to you with the total payable before you confirm. The fee does not compound, is not interest, is not increased after disbursement, and does not change based on which repayment channel you choose. There is no early-repayment fee, and no penalty fees during the repayment or grace period.

For every advance we record your consent, disbursement date, selected repayment term, access fee charged, due date, every reminder sent, repayment attempts, the channel you chose for each repayment, any mitigation notice, grace period start and end, any pledged-savings settlement action, and the final status. You can review this information on your account at any time.

12. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or legal reasons. You can close your account anytime via Account > Opt out.

13. Liability

Jifaidi™️ is provided as-is. We are not liable for losses caused by mobile-network downtime, payment-provider outages, partner-institution actions, or events beyond our reasonable control.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll notify you in-app for material changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
